I always tell my students that anyone can sew. All you need is some fabric, an idea and a bit of patience. And we have a brilliant time in our classes: everyone has a laugh, and we make some fabulous things. Just look at the pics from our very first ever fashion show.

And by fabulous, I mean really really fabulous.

Take Hadassah. Hadassah joined the teen beginners class in 2018, and loved making her own clothes. She got such a buzz out of it that by Christmas she was talking about making her own prom dress. It was a big project she was talking too – the style, the fabric, the fitting – it was going to take a lot of work. Oh, and she had GCSEs to do – which she had to have as her focus. Then, once her exams were out of the way, she could turn to her dress.

It was a big challenge, but with a bit of support from her mum, and the team here at the studio, and a lot of hard work, she made her dream dress a reality. Just in time for prom, and for her to model it to wow us as the finale of the fashion show.

Hadassah, you’re awesome.
