Naomi Campbell eat your heart out

Naomi just wears the clothes – we made ours too.

We had a blast! After weeks and months of hard work crafting a whole range of fabulous creations, we strutted our catwalk stuff, modelling them at our end-of-term fashion show. Some of us were a bit nervous, but everyone loved it. And the clothes wowed. Not everyone could be there on Sunday, so for everyone who could come – and just because I’m bursting with pride over what these guys have made, I’ve got to share with you some of the pics.

The models line up – kids and teens
What happens if you mix five teenagers with one pattern pack? Five very different outfits! The teen class all used the one pattern pack and came up with their own unique spins, working on them through the term. They all said it was tricky fitting the zipper, but they all got it done , and they loved making these amazing pieces.
Beginners Class: the girls made their circle skirt with matching tops. Making the skirt took quite a while ‘cos there’s so much of the circle to go round. But they only took two weeks to complete the blouse. Love how they’ve taken the same pattern, and put their own spin on it. Some went for crop tops, others longer blouses. The blue skirt has floral cut outs appliqued on top of it. The pink skirt with shoe pattern prints has now has shoes attached to it. Totally unique!
Would you believe these were beginners? The girls made circle skirts, and the gentleman wore a pair of shorts made by one of our students, Micah. The girls say it was a bit challenging for when they were beginners – but not anymore!
