Learning Through Sewing

Our Home Education Sewing Classes provide a creative and practical learning experience for children who are educated at home.

Students learn sewing and garment-making skills at their own pace while developing confidence, concentration, problem-solving and independence.

Sessions may include sewing machine skills, beginner projects, garment construction and working with sewing patterns, depending on each student’s experience.

Classes are taught in a friendly, supportive small-group environment, giving children the opportunity to learn, create and connect with others.

Suitable for: Ages 6+
Experience: Beginners welcome
Equipment: Sewing machines and equipment provided

Dates: Mondays 9th November – 7th December 2026   or   Fridays 14th November – 11th December 2026
Day: Option of Mondays or Fridays
Time: 12 noon – 1pm
Duration: 5 weeks
Price: £130

Each project is designed to challenge students while allowing them to express their own creativity and individual style.

Projects They’ll Make

Projects vary each term and may include a range of stylish garments that continue to develop students’ technical ability and confidence.

Every project provides an opportunity for students to build on previous knowledge while exploring new techniques and creative ideas.

The Summer Fashion Show

One of the highlights of the programme is our Annual Summer Fashion Show, where students proudly showcase the garments they have created throughout the academic year.

This exciting event celebrates their creativity, dedication and progress, giving every student the opportunity to see their hard work come to life on the runway.
