At My Sewing Studio, we believe sewing is more than making clothes—it’s about building confidence, creativity and practical life skills. Our Beginner Sewing Course introduces children aged 6+ to the exciting world of sewing through fun, hands-on projects in a safe and encouraging environment.

We don’t just jump into projects, we start by building a rock-solid foundation. Your child will learn machine safety rules, explore how a sewing machine works, and master its parts and functions. Using specialized kid-friendly sewing machines with adjustable speed controls, they’ll safely build hand-eye coordination before moving on to practical skills like straight and curved stitching.

Then, the true magic happens! They will put their brand-new technical skills to use by creating beautiful, functional projects they can proudly show off to family and friends.

 What They Will Create:

• The Ultimate Scrunchie (Perfect for practicing gathers and elastic)
• A Custom Coin Purse (An introduction to basic fasteners and small-scale sewing)
• A Double-Sided Tote Bag (Mastering straight lines, handles, and fully lined reversible seams!)

 Core Skills Covered:

• Machine Safety & Operation: Understanding parts, functions, and safe finger placement.
• Motor Skills: Hand-eye coordination through speed-controlled stitching.
• Creative Confidence: Step-by-step project building from a flat piece of fabric to a 3D object.
• Tool Literacy: Learning to identify and safely use basic sewing tools and materials.

Note: Parents, you don’t need to stress about shopping lists! All sewing machines, fabrics, threads, and crafting tools are fully provided by the studio and the kids get to go home with their projects
